James Dean Interview on the Set of Rebel Without a Cause. ..I love this interview because he had such a way with words, such an extensive vocabulary. You don't hear him saying 'umm' or 'like' in between sentences like most celebrities do today. He was talented and intelligent. Please visit my Facebook Page: / 15andinlovewiththelate... and have a look at my Android App (In Love With James Dean) on Google Play.

@@breejames6323 He was notorious for not granting interviews, which he detested. However, Hedda Hopper did interview him early on and described it in her book. I might transcribe a portion of it here.

Very articulate and intelligent-in some ways a surprise- so different from mumbling youth he portrays. You hear a great actor analysing his craft- choices an actor has to make. We are reminded that the actor is portraying a role and sometimes audience muddled two together. In that way the performance is convincing. More to it folks than it looks!

Wow, if I was blindfolded, I wouldn't recognize that to be the voice of James Dean. For some reason, his voice sounded different in the movies he made, at least to me. I find it so astonishing that even today, 69 years after his death that he is still & will always be so relevant. All of his Iconic images forever cemented into our memory. I can't think of another person who's achieved that standing. He's one of the trifecta of the greatest actors with leading man status from the viewer's perspective will never be forgotten. Montgomery Clift, Marlon Brando, and James Dean. I call them the gods of the stage & screen & I honestly don't think we'll see any other trio like them in this lifetime, in the next lifetime & the lifetime after that. Their acting skills were the greatest & their true personas an enigma. God bless these uber gorgeous & uber talented trio of men.🫅🙏💔🫅🙏💔🫅🙏💔 Gone but never forgotten.

Jimmy grew up with a subtle Hoosier accent. He was intelligent enough to know what he needed to improve upon and learn without any ego, and he did just that. He absorbed things very quickly and when he lived in New York, he got an education in language and ways of speaking. He ignored the pretentious attitudes and adopted a clear way of speaking and presenting himself. He was highly intelligent but he was tempered with a big heart. Contrary to some accounts, he was utterly charming naturally. If he liked you, you knew it! He had more close relationships than most people ever knew of. He did not care who you were or how important you were as a condition for liking you. He was interested in getting married and starting a family. I think he would have been a great dad. That to me is so sad he never got the chance to do this. He never claimed he was perfect and he was always learning. If there is such a thing as living again in another life, I would hope he is happy with whatever he is doing and probably not in the entertainment field I suspect. Just a feeling. I think he is around now observing the aftermath.

@@tomwilliams3688 I think you are on to something there. I read in a few biographies that Jimmie liked to observe people and would often watch someone awhile before talking with them for the first time. Who knows maybe he was storing their characteristics and mannerisms to use in his craft for another time. He must have been very charismatic because there are more people that say favorable things about him than negative things. I believe he just liked having real conversations and didn't like the Hollywood Phony Baloney stuff.
