I love how the camera zooms in on him a little more each time. Making it look more ominous as the predictions get more silly.

Same! I've been saying it ever since Y2K but forgot who originally said it. I just googled "stuff's gonna splode" and it brought me here. My younger sister was asking about Y2K and the conversation reminded me of stuff's gonna splode.

I didn't see this one because I was at work with an operating system support group. Nothing happened at midnight and we had a (non-alcoholic) toast. However -- about twelve hours later, at around noon on 01/01/2000 -- the operating system did crash due to a Y2K bug in software called MVS/OMEGAMON. Crazy stuff.

Fun Fact: James Earl Jones played Mufasa. The Italian dub for Mufasa was Vittorio Gassman. Vittorio Gassman was in Scent of a Woman, which got remade in 1992 with Al Pacino playing the role. Al Pacino should voice Darth Vader.

Well, let's see how he did so far (as of 2024): 10. And How! 9. Many meteors/Asteroids have whizzed past us, but nothing THAT big (yet) 8. Maybe if you have an Audio Plug-in that can alter your voice, Yes. 7. I'd like to think that he had SOME Clarity in his life before he died; but we'll never truly know 6. Still waiting 5. Well, Digital/Financial Fraud has become a lot more prevalent over time, does that count? 4. Can't speak for the world, but I say "Yo!" when I pick up 3. True until 2016 with "Pokemon GO!", but then faded away afterward. 2. To certain demographics, Yes. 1. I'd like to say "Yes"; but I'd also like to think they can raise the bar even higher than that.
