​​@@dangerflyIt's a great looking suit for what they were able to do at the time. It's not 2000s xmen anymore where everyones in boring black jumpsuits. Comic accurate costumes are what people want. Were you one of the people who liked Xmen Origins Deadpool with the sealed mouth or something? There's a reason wolverine is rocking his yellow and blue in the deadpool trailer. Obviously its adjusted it to make it fit live action better, but accuracy is 100% preferred now. Sorry if this makes you upset but your personal opinion isn't the default.

And that movies over 50 years old. People want a new depiction of the character using today's technology. They technically made a definitive batman movie in the 80s, and again with dark knight. But people obviously still want to see more of that character.

Comics and cartoons are for kids where logic isn't important. You want a giant purple man that eats planets? Why does Galactus even need legs in space? Do whales need legs? Why does Batman need a bat logo on his chest? His whole costume is already a giant bat. Superman is a huge narcissist. You wouldn't be embarrassed wearing a giant 'A' on your chest to tell everyone you're Awesome-man? How ridiculous is it that superheroes wear logos like big walking business cards? Google Anchoring Bias if you want to know why you think the first depiction is the "correct" one. It's a cognitive bias. Not that kids care about logic...

First of all: This photo is clearly taken at a nano-second in time as he suits up at super speed Second of all: This does not fit my preconceived idea of what it should be so it clearly cannot be any good and has already failed. Third of all: If you doubt my judgement please see my completely accurate prediction of the failed Joker portrayal by Heath Ledger and surfer bro Chris Evans' unconvincing interpretation of Captain America Fourth of all: The Dark Universe is gonna hit and everyone is going to eat their words.

Jeez youre already super pent up from arguing about this aren't you lol. The existence of overly negative predictions doesn't negate the outcome of this going poorly. Not saying it's guranteed to either, but all things considered this is bad first glimpse at the suit. Is it really in super speed? Feels like they couldve shown that in multiple obvious ways they didn't do. Effect trails? After images anywhere? Nah. A blurry shitty background doesn't automatically mean it's super speed. Just like how The Flashs effects still look trash despite it the director claiming its supposed to look weird. Why does the suit have digital fake dirt smudges on it? Why is it crinkling up like a walmart costume around the shoulders? The picture simply looks poorly composed and rushed in terms of effects. I really really hope the movie doesn't have this kind of visual style.

I like the suit, it has a Dredd/motorcycle gear feel to it. Though I do wonder if they've gone with a new design because they feel obligated to, rather than say "we don't want to reinvent the wheel, there are like three good ones to pick from already so we'll just reuse one of those".

I think it's more because the person who designed the Guardians of the Galaxy costumes also designed the Superman costume, so its probably just there style of doing things

@@ItsDigidyDan it was actually Alexandra Byrne who was costume designer on GotG Vol 1. Superman 2025 has Judianna Makovsky, who was costume designer on GotG 3 but did not originate those costumes.

So this looks a little bit like it's creeping up on being over-designed but not yet. Maybe it's the heavy look of the outfit; I do not dislike it, just want to see more. I think the cleaner, more simple designs tend to enhance his feats of strength visually but ultimately the actor will make the difference. Unless you're Willem DaFoe who was not told he was in a Power Ranger movie.

The thing with Superman is that unlike other superheroes like Batman or Spiderman, Superman's blue suit isn't a costume-it's his own native planet clothes. His real costume to conceal his true identity is actually the gray suit, tie, and glasses which his alias "Clark Kent" wears. Since the blue suit is from a foreign planet with advanced technology, it would be fair to say that the blue suit should look somewhat "unworldly" rather than a purchase from a motorcycle store. Apart from the dull colors, Henry Cavil's suit was perfect, and a perfect fit, as if the technology of the suit conformed to every inch of his physique. This blue suit looks like an ill-fitting, cheap cosplay costume from Amazon. Besides, since when has Superman ever taken his time to sit and leisurely put his boots on, considering he used to change in a flash in a phonebooth or considering what's going on outside of his window.

My prediction come back to this comment if I’m right but the damage is for his first suit and he upgrades it near the end of the movie hence why so many say the S reveal picture is a different suit entirely. I believe he only revealed this picture to show Superman is not like cavil he’s not Jesus he can get tired he’s more human than a god and the background is guy Gardner in a battle he’s in his iconic bubble..

It looks like its a TV show suit and seems to have alot of padding. The creases are really putting me off. It's just a bad first image. The design is fine. It not amazing nor is it terrible. I can see why it's so divisive.
