Wow. That's the most genuine and real comment that I have read in a long time. I would just like to add. It takes 2 to make it and also 2 to break it. Marriage isn't easy and not for everyone, but should be paramount...though our selfishnesses often cloud our judgement. It's difficult. I can understand both James and his now, ex-wife's positions. Face it for him, being one of the most recognized rock stars in a major world-wide recording and touring band,, the pressures of being "That Guy" had to be overwhelming and the stories of the temptations of on the road life in a band that is that big have been well documented over the years. Even normal couples have their difficulties,but one could only imagine what it was like for James and his wife. Obliviously, like other couples, I think they just grew apart, and decided that the marriage simply wasn't working anymore. People seem to forget that they're just normal human beings just like the rest of us. From the statements made by both of them, they definitely seem determined to being respectful to each other and still love one another, and are 100 percent committed to maintaining a loving, caring family atmosphere for their children and that's what matters the most.

Imagine the anxiety James can have. To play the same songs for more than 40 years and even making new albums with new songs and solos. And to sing these songs. There is times that he is forced to perform. Acting to the fans that he is happy. Having to keep the band together. Touring and so much more. I can believe it is the worst anxiety ever. It is one of the most difficult jobs and keeping the family happy too. I am an educator and James is my hero. Even me can sometimes get anxiety. Luckilly I am 5 years clean from alcohol. It makes anxiety actually worse as it is a depressant. Respect to his wife for standing such a long time with him. She is a very good woman. Can understand the pain his kids went also through. They could sometimes hate their own father because of the alcohol. My father was an alcoholic. I was 1 for 10 years. Still am. Just I do not drink. James is good now and I wish him all the best. Maybe 1 more Metallica album from my heroes. I thought they were done after st.anger. but they surprised with Death Magnetic. Beyond Magnetic. Hardwired and 72 seasons. Well done Metallica!!!!!!!!

I was a kid when my mom and dad split, they divorced way later, in fact it was kind of funny how my dad just got down on one knee and proposed a divorce. My mom excepted. But the point being they were great together when it came to taking care of the kids, but together it’s was just too chaotic. It’s a long story but that’s it. My dad is now married to a strong willed woman who is willing to walk through fire for the man, my mom is married to a humble but fairly stubborn old man who gives my mother the amount of respects that has been lacking in her life from others. This is all thanks to God. Long story short, times change. James Hetfield and His wife have their issues I’m sure. I don’t pick sides, I wish nothing but the best for the man and his estranged wife. It’s amazing that they still respect and have love for each other

I miss one of the exes. It was the best relationship you could get. I live in Uppsala, Sweden. The city has a big universiy. She came from Boise, Idaho. She studied at McGill in Montreal. The two univertiys had a exchangeprogram.This was in 2001, in november. Met her on one of the places students u😮se to go to party. Lång story... Well after some dates we grew closer. She said that she didn't want any relationship because she was going back to the states in 10 mounth. But we just melted together. We both knew rhe relationship was going to end. We treated eachother with so much love and respect. We had so much fun. We went to my familys cabin in the north of Sweden. So she got to see the midnightsun. And went to the north of England. Around York and rhe lake district. I think I felt real love... It was hard when she went back. She is living a great life with family and kidds. Sometimes I look att pictures of her that we took and I just cry... Have had four relationships after her and now I'm never never nerver going have a relationship again. Mustaine admitted when the members of Metallica got drunk, they'd act silly, but when he got drunk, he'd turn angry. He was apparently really damaging to cohesiveness of the band, and if the other three members were all in agreement, then it was Dave that was the problem back in 1983. Metallica was called "Alcoholica" for a reason, so of course they were abusers, but Dave was on an entirely different level.

I bet he thinks Dave overreacted when he punched James in the face for kicking his dog. fransceska........ invest, do stocks 401k etc. put aside money. save save save, invest. starta podcast on youtube so your fans can showsupport thru likes & comments. and remember, even somone like me who has lost my purpose for being, am broke barely surviving, can do ok. you should be way better off than me. no one supported me, i sat in my room alone and cried empty, lost until the only choice i had was to try and live again. its been just over 3 years. i can laugh. function pretty normal most of the time. regardless of being poor. i have faith in you, you can do it. fransceska you got this!!

It's hard to see pic's and video of James, knowing he's the height of metal rock, to see and hear him speak, you'd think he sold insurance for a living. So many of rocks top people deal with anxiety attacks and self doubt leading them to do drugs and drink. It's hard but they should train themselves to understand that if you have a packed arena in front of you screaming the lyrics to your songs, you must be doing something right. Fame and exposure has never been a smooth road for any musician or public figure ever
