The Horsemen love searching the skies for tiny suspended moments of formation perfection. In it, time freezes, the team becomes one, and the Earth rotates around us. These fleeting moments appear like a bolt of lightning... stunning... electric... and then they are gone.
We are often asked, what does it feel like to do this in Mustangs? Finding the words to express it always seemed to slip away and vanish in the clouds... lost forever... until we met James Horner.
James is an Oscar-winning composer for such legendary films as Avatar, Titanic, Braveheart, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Field Of Dreams, Glory, and Legends Of The Fall. The list goes on and on.
As luck would have it, besides music, James loves to fly. Even more important, he loves Mustangs, their thundering Merlin engines, and formation aerobatics... imagine that! Once again, the Horsemen's P-51 skeleton key opened another magical door. It is through this door that our friendship and passions took flight.
Looking back, it seems inevitable that our obsession for music, film, and flying would project James and the Horsemen onto the world's biggest silver screen... air show center stage. This FILM and EXCLUSIVE HD DOWNLOAD PACKAGE documents how we landed there together and takes you behind-the-scenes as Horner records his musical masterpiece for the Horsemen. We truly believe James' score has captured the pure essence of flight and expressed its soul.
Not just for us... for EVERYONE.
EVERYONE who looks to the sky, dreams to soar without limitations... to fly... and Escape Life's Gravity.

We are so very blessed that the music of James Horner will live on, But to realize there will be no more new music, is deeply heartbreaking and seems so unreal. "Goodbye and Godspeed" RIP James Horner Thank you for creating the soundtrack of my life and all of the many countless hours of beautiful music

First heard this music when the Horsemen were flying at the RI ANG Air Show (F8F Bearcats & F7F Tigercat) last year. Horner's score blended beautifully with their aerial display. Really appreciated his work here and on several motion picture scores. He will be missed...

Some of Horner's best scores were for moments of magical flight onscreen (Star Trek II "Enterprise Leaving Drydock", Rocketeer "Take-off", Krull "Ride of the Firemares", etc.) This piece stands right up there with his best. Great work.

I don't know if James Horner ever got to fly to his score, but he's flying to it now, unencumbered by time and space. Farewell to the 4th Horseman.

In a similar style like "The Rocketeer", James Horner wrote an amazing score not for a film. I consider this a really "concert music". Sadly, a very underrated composer in the present day (his rejected scores from "The Ender's Game" and "Romeo & Juliet") because of his habitual self references and the famous "parabara" motif. But, what composer has not done?, even Beethoven and Mozart did that. In the movie music world, composers like Williams, Rozsa and Goldsmith did that too. You're great, James Horner!
