But the show isn't about Versace... It's about Andrew Cunanan. It's basically going backwards, from his last murder to his maybe first? Guy was a psycho who knows what else he did. But I'm loving this show!!! Darren is doing sooo good!

The series compares and contrasts the two men, Versace and Andrew. Both were gay and came from poverty but one worked hard and was adored while the other faked his way through life until he could no longer do that (and this led to murderous results). The other reason that I feel this show focuses more on Cunanan is that we know very little about him.

I became kind of obsessed with Darren Criss after seeing him in The Assassination of Gianni Versace. He was mind blowing good in that show! I’ve went back and watched Glee and other things he’s been in. He is a phenomenal actor.

As someone who’s watched Darren since the first AVPM, I’m so unbelievably happy. He went from playing Harry freaking Potter in a tiny acting troupe out of Michigan into this megastar. Starkid fans have watched him grow from a talented, kind young man in a goofy musical into a talented, kind, accomplished, award winning actor and singer. He's definitely not gay, although his gay characters are just unreally and truly gay in a way that you actually believe it; hence the scratching of our heads when he plays such characters... As a psychology note, the "closeted" gays would never play a "gay" character as they're already playing a straight one in real life (Spacey & Co.) whereas, a truly straight guy, comfortable with his sexuality, can play a gay character unphased by fear of it "rubbing off on him". Likewise, homophobes are consumed by hatred towards gays cause openly gay people live their lives comfortable in who they are as opposed to them and the thought of "if I can't express my gay feelings openly, nobody else should" drives them to try to stop gays from living their lives by becoming Republicans...
