I was at a Spurs game last season where he accompanied a young mascot with spina bifida onto the pitch. The young lad was determined to walk and James held his hand and walked at his pace for the teams to lineup. After the lineup James walked the young lad off the pitch, which drew a round of applause from the fans. Truly Madders is a class act and I’m proud he represents my club.

60 points last season to 66 points this season. The bigger question for me is what exactly are the real ambitions for Spurs? Because 8th place on 60 points to 5th place on 66 points is technically “progress.” But Spurs have been in a cycle of successful mediocrity between primarily 4th to 6th for 15 years without ever seriously challenging for the title. What exactly are the real objectives/expectations for the club?
@eldante41397 ай бұрын
Barely an improvement too when you think that last season we had CL matches to play too. Shown some promising signs but a LONG way to go.
@MomoneyMoproblems-we2wj7 ай бұрын
Finished 2nd and 3rd in there too, in 2017 Spurs were brilliant btw but came second to Conte's Chelsea. They want to compete for prizes, play great football again and build on exciting talent/nucleus again and Spurs have the resources easy (look up the revenues and the FFP rules and where Tottenham stand) they are the richest club of London by the last numbers because of the awesome stadium. The thing is can the owners make sporting decisions and be ambitious at the right time and not only be all those things for the off-pitch stuff (history says no in the past 22 years or so, mainly under Poch when they needed the 2/3 good additions to challenge for the league again or when they reached a CL final and didn't buy anyone for 2 years. I understand what the club wants atm but when push comes to shove did the owners really learn from their mistakes with Poch? I don't think so to be honest.
@Brzbrngr7 ай бұрын
5th and 66 points is more points and a higher league finish than klopp in his first season with liverpool. it's easy to diminish, but considering it's a rebuild season with a new manager, new young squad where 4 of the starting 11 were making their EPL debut this is a solid starting point for the rebuild. and this after losing their best ever striker and majority of pundits/rival fans said they will be midtable if they're lucky. I think spurs objectives/expectations should be to improve from this in the coming seasons, get back into the top 4 and try to challenge in order to break the extremely long silverware drought they're currently on. what other objectives could they possibly have than that

The other thing is that not all players earn 100-300k a week and it all depends on the team but if they could donate $5k each or what ever, then that would also be a big help then to ask poor folk for money but as I said, if we all pitched in $1 each which is practically nothing, then we could help out a lot more :)
