No the crash for Casino Royal was very deliberate, in fact no matter how they tried they doulcnt get the DBS to flip how they wanted, so they used a steam cannon mounted laterally to roll it. They had something like 5 DBS and 10 cheaper DB9 (dressed to look like DBS) at the start, and i think only 2 DBS were left with the ability to even move by the end if filming

0:20 It was supposed to flip but they couldn't make it roll, they just completely overdid it and it almost careened into the crew who were standing in its path. The center of gravity was too low, so it wouldn't flip on its own. They ended up using a an air ram, that blasts a piston through a hole in the floor and onto the ground, flipping the car. This is a one take deal, as you destroy the car. To be on the safe side, the stunt coordinator put it on full blast and it nearly went very wrong. The behind the scenes footage is in Top Gear's 50 Years of Bond Cars special. It is pretty hectic.
