@@ssh1487 we're talking Scotland here. They have one of the highes teenage-pregnancy rates so I figure it's not unusual to be 40 and still have living grandparents. I had a host-mum in Liverpool who was 70 and her oldest granddaughter was like 34 which meant my host-mum was 36 when her granddaughter was born. that's younger than my mum was at MY birth

It does make sense though. I've heard other British and Scottish actors say in interviews when they go home or see their family, they immediately slip back into their accent because they're responding to the accent of the person talking to them. They go back to LA, and they still have an accent but weaker...
