This has been my favorite song and music video for the longest time. I love how the lyrics say I won't let you go and in the video, we see that. the girl is disoriented, she is hardly looking his direction , her mind is somewhere else, she is hurting and when she lies down. I imagine people around her are her loved ones and friends. Her parents etc. they are looking down at her, worried. Instead of coming to pick her up and try to dust her off, he comes and lies beside her NOT letting her go but instead allowing her to feel whatever it is she is feeling. I love that this inturn causes her close ones to do the same. Sometimes you need to let the people you love go through and feel what they are feeling and all you need to do for them is offer your love and support ... your hand for them to hold. What a beautiful representation of an already perfect song!

As I was alone, dying of COVID, I could faintly hear this song in the hospital coming from someone's radio. I have 12 sisters, 10 brothers-in-law, one set of twin sons, and a set of twin grandsons. I'm in the US but UK has soooo many great singer/songwriters like this! We have many in Nashville as well & they aren't all country-I just love the raspy voiced, tortured soul sounds of James Morrison, James Arthur, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Ella Henderson.. I see Ben Haenow gets some flack because others felt someone else should've won X Factor but I just enjoy them ALL-Love Ben, James Bay. Where is James Blunt? Like him, too. Don't care if they're from a talent show or School of Hard Knocks. If they're talented bring them on!
