Not only is he scaring every musician in the world to death, he has the balls to make the video really entertaining and even funny when he checks himself out soloing on trombone. Like the young Jacob Collier from England, Morrison is a freak (in the best sense of the word) of nature. Leave a little talent for the rest of us, man. The only thing I don't know for sure is whether he wrote the chart, too. Anyone know?
@Thundermonkeyms10 жыл бұрын

to those asking about the lack of 'more' Jeff Hamilton shots in the video.... Jeff wasn't actually at the video shoot, James just shot some 'wild' footage of Jeff in L.A. and then Thomas Zeller put him 'in' afterwards. This meant they could only use a very few shots that would fit with the track musically.

I have played trumpet and piano, so at least I know how reading music of transposing instrument, at least a B-flat instrument like trumpet and tenor sax. But James Morrison could also do so with alto and bari sax, which is E-flat instrument, and also reading the bass clef with trombone. I think that's also incredible skill to be able to sight read music for different instruments, and that's also a great skill along with ability to play the instruments.
