I was 13yo when Geller came on the telly in the UK and I believed he had magic powers and I was utterly convinced. My Dad was born in 1913 and when he watched it, though impressed by what he saw, HIS bullshit detector started to work immediately and although he couldn't explain it, he knew straightaway that it was bollocks and not "psychic powers" or whatever the hell that means. I thought my dad was an idiot, he thought I was one. Turns out he was right. That generation were smarter than we nowadays think. They also saved the world from the Nazis. Pretty impressive.

Randi missed what actually happened with the seed trick. Uri was in a specific location outside, where he had already placed a germinated seed or seeds on the ground. After Uri dumped some seeds in the girls hand, he then said "I'll pour some on the floor, you can see they are just simple seeds." (Why not just dump some in his hand like he did the girl?) He then picks them up off the ground and immediately placed his fingers over them, covering the already germinated seed, then does his little hocus pocus farce.

Wanna do some uri geller tricks? I had a magnet implanted near a fingertip on my left hand. I'd had it since removed, but it allowed me to feel AC current if I was close enough and effect compasses and various other objects that had magnetic influence. Now, you don't need a gold plated silicone encased magnet to do this. One can easily influence magnets with just a small neodymium magnet and some rubber cement with some halfway decent concealer makeup.
