I met James Randi at the Flamingo in Las Vegas in 2019 while he was having coffee with Penn Jillette. My daughter had spied Penn at the small lobby cafe we were in line at and pointed him out. I immediately recognized the old gray-haired man he was with. Penn had just wheeled him by in a wheelchair to the patio of the cafe. I saw a lull in their conversation and got the courage to introduce myself to them both. While Penn excused himself to get the coffee, I got to chat with James a bit and expressed my enjoyment of his debunking videos. He was a very gracious and soft spoken man. I didn’t visit but more than a couple minutes, as I didn’t want to intrude on the two close friends time together. Later that night, at the meet and greet after the Penn & Teller show, I reminded Penn that I had met him and James earlier that morning. He said he remembered, and that James appreciated me talking to him about his debunking stuff and that it meant a lot to him. That’s my story of meeting James Randi and Penn together.

Fun fact if everybody switched our smart tech off and refused to switch it back on until our demands were met , the virtual crippling of their big data economy and digital infrastructure would bring the cabal to their knees . Randi sure has a sense of humor but this one shocked me until the end. I was wondering what was wrong with Randi's otherwise usually good judgement though, since the controls of this test were not good. Also two out of three tests were not demonstrating a paranormal ability, but a technologically plausible method. Also the third test was contingent on Randi choosing to think of the actual geometrical image that he had on the paper and Randi could have chosen to cheat by thinking of something else that wasn't on the paper so that test was also not rigorous enough in design. I am relieved to see that these test procedures were after all not genuine, because they were not sufficient for a number of reasons.

For the third I had to fall back on Randi's integrity. That was enough to convince me he wouldn't think of a different shape. That third one, though, was such a joke.
