This amazing performance was filmed before a studio audience which consisted of Friends, Fans and Competition Winners. They were treated to a magical performance by James Reyne.
It was an unforgettable evening made even better by one of the most talented bands in the country who’d backed James for many years.

Yes indeed, James should always pay his respects to Guy. I can only imagine how successful Guy would’ve been had he lived a longer life. He had talent and class!! No one can sing this song the way that he did it!!

Yeah theres only one voice for this song. Even though they were singing all i could hear was guy. Casey chambers voice is the most annoying in the world. Not my cup of tea at all.

Casey Chambers always sounds like a strangled cat. Not sure what the point was off adding her to such a melodic song. Make no mistake, this is Guy McDonough’s song, in oh so many way. That said, it’s good to see James keeping the songs alive.

I’m a Kasey fan too. Seems like I’m in the minority in here. I really like the mix of both of their voices here. You can see the mutual admiration on their faces throughout this performance. I know it’s not for the AC purists. I felt it worked well here.

This performance was never released online officially. I had this on a Foxtel Box and through a complex process managed to make a digital copy. Originally made in 4:3 Format. More recently I converted it to Full HD. These videos although not owned by me, I felt were worth sharing here. I was at this Max Sessions along with friends and we always have fond memories.
