Perhaps the greatest lyrics in the history of rock; Hoochie Gucci Fiorucci Mumma!

I’m not sure why THIS song is my fave of Aussie Crawl, but it is. Thank you James for teaching your band/ getting them on board.

Every day I see you wearing things that have never been worn before while the children at the Government school send money for the poor Now you buy your bargain for with your little man So that from your silks down to your paramour, your tres tres paragon So it’s back beach in the summer, a chalet for the snow You poor hoochi Gucci fiorucci mama, you got really no place to go Antiques flown in from Venice fill your house upon the hill While your money sold the soul of rock and roll, for some cheap disco thrill I see your peers pouting over beers, the loneliness it showed, Mistaking tacky sex for sensuality, they bought in Toorak Rd. So it’s back beach in the summer, a chalet for the snow…. You poor hoochi Gucci fiorucci mama, you got really no place to go Inside her empty castle, her lonely heart will dwell The life that she’s been losin’s like some stony bagatelle c The lovin’ that you never found, don’t know the reason why… oh hoochi Gucci fiorucci mama - don’t you cry

Horrible audience. So disrespectful.

I know right? So awful when people chat through a performance

@@mikedeveryfrom experience this is an Aussie thing. Never seen it repeated anywhere else. Saw Paul Kelly once and the audience were just drinking and talking all the way through. Only got into it when it was a song they recognised.
