The uniqueness in James is based on the fact that they were meant to be one of the greatest bands ever. Tim Booth has an absolutely extraordinary voice which take you beyond the experience of being listening a simple melody. James is a gift to every human being on earth. Thanks JP for bringing me the best memory of my life, that is having James in my personal music collection. I will always love JAMES (The Band).

One of the very best bands to come out of the U.K. in decades. Musically captivating, lyrically astute. Absolutely spellbinding live. Possibly my favourite band ever. They just keep getting better, which is something I hold very dear as I get older and this song and others like ‘ring the bells’ remain as markers in the horizons of my youth.

Takes me back to my college days, listening to this album over and over while doing homework, on every car trip, every single chance I got. There's something so beautiful and poignant about this entire album. I'm selfishly kinda glad they have remained a bit of my own private oasis.

This song is about loving someone with a drug addiction and not being able to tap into there mind and set them free, I love someone with a drug addiction, but I also suffer from a drug addiction to. This song has been making me cry for 21 years, maby one day there,ll be happy tears. I've said it before and I'll say it again-- the music is great, but I'm here for the lyrics. I don't think the meaning I've found in them is what the artist intended, but maybe that's okay. It still hits me right in the heart. It put words to an emotion I've never experienced before, and can't fully understand. Such incredible catharsis.

... someday we'll know but I think it's fair to say this song is just as relevant today as it was when it was in the charts half a lifetime ago. So, while we, and I mean every last one of us who hides behind a screen, a pint, a brew, a card, a pill, a hit, a comment or anything else that brings meaning to our otherwise sad empty little lives keep doing these things, remember one thing. You'll all be empty at the end. As I was recently... Someday the amount of time and energy and effort and resources you (and I) have spent over twenty-five years will leave you staring at the walls wondering where on earth it all went. I'm determined not to be that sad cliché of a person I've seen so many of my (so called) friends and family become. Some of us know what it's like to live our lives with no meaning or control. And you're amazed that we exist. Because we now shine so bright you can't help. Just wonder. Why? Someday we'll know... 📺 🍻 ☕ 💳 #justanothermagicmonday #mycosmicautumnrebellion #maradonamadonnamcgeeandme #letloverule
