Does Dr Tabor think it possible Jesus sayings are reflecting some cult that had practices similar those of some sadhus in India? They give up their possessions ,connections to their families, they also perform their own funeral rites...could that explain what "let the dead bury their dead" means?

Ethical Monotheism is at the core of Judaism, that all nations shall be adherers to the ethics set forth by the creator. The Jews are to be a nation of priests, as it clearly says in Exodus 19:6 in the Torah. The seven laws of Noah are reasonable and to me they seem logical, and not to difficult to follow. Micah 6:8 is a powerful verse when seen through this lens. He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Jesus said he came not to abolish the law but to fulfill. It was a mission that ended in Calvary. Jesus didn’t request anything but to come and follow him, to Love God and your Neighbor. This is what the Law hangs on.

Pope Benedict? Conservative? You don't want to know why he resigned. Clothed in scarlet and purple and drunk with the blood of the saints. Respect the Catholic church that has never repented or confessed all the murders of true followers of Jesus Christ.

Very biased analysis. "Appears" to be super-unbiased, but it's actually highly biased towards very specific ideas. Like for example: that there is a "wideness" or "should be". If life is similar to a "test" by God, you are trying to "hack" God. God just wants to see if you hear or not his message. If you have ears, hear.Even if you don't like the message. Try to have discernment. If God created life, and wants you to find him, just find him. Don't play a "higher" game, of being able to criticize God and his objectives. You would not have even one neuron, if God had not created what he created.. Do .. there is need to be humble.. That doesn't mean you have to accept anything. But.. for example: the messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus, are a BIG thing to thake onto account... DNA being a language.. and science telling us that language is always result of an intelligence.. Again: just check the messianic credentials of Jesus, and you will not need "a lot" of faith to know that you should listen and follow him... While I may sound a bit harsh.. I tell you this with true love. Don't loose the opportunity to know this mind-blowing truth of the messianic prophecies written many hundreds of years before Chrsit, and fulfilled by Jesus. Totally amazing from a statistics point of view. When should be the messiah on earth ( In there Book of Daniel ), where should he be born, what should he do, how will be his death and the espiritual things achieved by him and his sacrifice ( Isaiah 53 )..
