Carlos did what every great drummer tries to do, transcend technique and chops and just make it feel really good. Thanks Carlos your groove is never forgotten in my world.

Carlos was all funk. That's what made him so special. Consider a drum machine if you need simple.

One of my favorite JT songs, though I like the slower CD version more. Carlos Vega was a great drummer indeed!

I think Carlos got a LOT of recognition especially for turning into a sought after studio drummer. he, Eddie Bayers, and Larrie Londin...three of the greats.

no possible way he's too funky on this...it's just plain taste...that's what he's doing

Carlos Vega was perfect for JT, because he added drive, but in a very supportive way....come to think of it, any time Mr Vega picked up the sticks, he made everyone he played with sound that much better! R.I.P

What’s the Strat players name, Bob Mann? I think that’s him. He has some great fills. Fire and Rain from this show was awesome.

his material is very strong 1970-1986. Very weak after that. His last consistent album was "Thats Why I'm Here". Cannot even listen to anything after that!
