My father and his older brother were born in Tampa, FL but raised in Cuba. Their parents were Cuban. They lived in Tampa for 2 years. My Dad had dual citizenship. When Pearl Harbor was attacked he immediately went to the US Consulate, showed his birth certificate, and requested to go to the US to enlist in the army. He left his young bride with her family and joined the army because he loved the US. After he was discharged, he brought his wife over, and that's how I and my sisters wound up in the greatest country ever.

I didn't even know that the law had changed and that it was legal to burn the American flag I could not believe it. I was telling this to a lady who was dressed in uniform, a soldier for the United States on the plane.. her eyes filled up with tears and she said ma'am every morning I wake up and I fight for that flag.
