I'd continue with Trossard and really see how he does in a game where we dominate possession in the 8/10. Nwaneri definitely should get around 15/20 if we're comfortably up at the end.

6:23 I never really understood why a lot of fans lost faith in kiwior, he played extremely well last year and showed some life on the left side when there was nothing there. Getting cooked by Sane sucks for sure, but by and large he is a really solid defender. I don’t mind seeing him get minutes.
@masonasa7009Ай бұрын
Kiwior has and always being so solid, he’s a freaking centre back and wherever he plays in his natural cb position where he’s trained all his life he performs solid, he’s only poor. When played out of position which is normal, mean look back at all the games he played CB he was always good

was a major step up from holding when saliba was injured, and that was as RCB. He needs a chance to rest Gabriel - maybe build a partnership with White as RCB, if timber/tomi covers RLB

I was disappointed that we didn't find Nwaneri more, but my god the most impressive thing about him is the way he just glides and his ball retention. Knows when to up the gears and just pass back. Very clever, Arteta will love him. And poor Porter, the one player we kept back for the counter was the slowest player alive, Uncle Jorginho 😂 It was fun watching him trying to get back haha. Good night all around. Nothing amazing, but just a lovely night.

how arteta gets experience with the youngsters to protect them coach them and give them confidence is so amazing. Mikel has probably been very battle ready - this guy moved 3 countries in about 5 years. He came in after 8-2 - I don't think that is lost on him either, experienced or younger, you have to help each other as you fight for the badge. It was so good to see the youngsters also have the mentality - their evolution on the tactical side is happening as we speak with all of the coaching we give them, but coaching is just behind the scenes, the player has to make decisions that their technique allows them. Mikel and Jorginho are the best examples, maybe limited physically, but they can coach how to make those decisions for players. Great stuff again James!

There were several experiments that needed to be done this game, and almost every single one was positive, so thats what im happiest about. Ethan & MLS - how would they do with first team football? They were the highlights and the look very close to premier league ready Josh Nichols - same question. good game, but still needs a little more work. Needs a bit more coaching and more power in defense. Sterling - Can he integrate well with the rest of the first team and show his qualities? This game really highlighted his capabilities. Great runs, good takeons, good positioning for his and the havertz goal. Calafiori - still solid, yet a big maverick on the ball. Hes getting very comfortable, but it does leave a weakness at the back when he goes. Kiwior - real solid in Saliba's role, the calm to Calafiori's storm. But also was aggressive when shifted to lb, making some exciting runs. Very flexible tactically, good backup. Jesus - Can he rediscover his form? First half was tough to watch, but 2nd half he started to grow into the game. Lovely nutmeg against 2 defenders even when he lost a shoe to setup the Havertz goal. Rice, Saka, and Jorginho the stalwarts to knit those questions together. Real real positive night
