No harm in sounding him out - he might love the idea of joining us! But I think Arteta needs to remember his own early advice here: if a player needs too much convincing to join Arsenal then that's probably a warning sign. Honestly, I think we'll probably have our answer from his first reaction to our approach: if the enthusiasm is mutual and he sounds keen to get a deal done asap then let's go all in! But if he makes us wait around for replies, and tells us he's waiting to hear other offers before making his decision then I'd move on to other targets - we all know how that story ends.

Of course bologna wanted kiwior to be part of the deal so they can get a better deal. if it's a straight 42m cash, then they will only get 21m and might have to spend the money to get calafiori's replacement. while if it's 20/25m + kiwior, they will have 10/12.5m and a calafiori replacement already.

People are so desperate - we need to sign players quickly - other clubs doing business - this club aint serious - Edu at his bbq - and so on and so on. We have a great consistent squad already, 2 years pushing one of the biggest clubs for the title (only club close last two years), we scored more last season than we ever have, conceded less than decades of poor defences before it -CHILL OUT AND LET THEM COOK IT'S NOT THAT DESPERATE.

I think one thing that’s getting lost in the Arsenal need to sell to buy narrative is that it’s not a financial issue as much (we’re making more money than ever) but more the need to free up squad spaces. Which is why ESR, Reiss, and Nketiah need to be sold. I think we only have 1 spot open in the 25 man roster atm. Plus we are also a more conservative club so keeping us absolutely free and clear of any PSR trouble is a motivation as well
