11 June night Our raccoon population is getting bigger

I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

Gosh they are so cute. If you feed them they will come! I only have one possum and sometimes two of her little ones that visit every night for apples, cheese, wieners, grapes, chicken, sometimes oatmeal cookies, tuna, turkey, whatever goodies I know they like and might like to try. Once she came with four little ones clinging to her back. Before that she came with 7 or 8 smaller ones but that was only once.

Been watching for a few years, this was one of my go-to's for relaxing at the end of the evening, but it's been more frustrating lately. Jim, you're a national treasure, your fans appreciate you trying to appease them regardless of whether you are up to it or not (Angie taking front and center in those circumstances) but it's like a hot dog throwing contest and I'm counting the minutes until the bucket is empty.

They have waited earlier with this bunch, the raccoons are in charge of their natural senses of what to do. They said it’s up to raccoons. Raccoons don’t do as well too close to each other when eating and the bossy mamas are in pecking order controlling the deck.

That was the first most impressive thing I saw within Angie. She is really good at it. She’s the one who informed us that all the raccoons were female, except for babies. Jim thought most were boys and gave them boy names, so we thought that too. I learned something when she pointed that out.

It's always nice to see how well the raccoons are doing and how they don't seem to have any trouble with the neighbors like another raccoon feeder, OONSDAY, who is being threatened with a lawsuit by his neighbors because they march through their gardens on their way to him. I hate people like that who have no feelings for animals because they themselves are unhappy with their lives.

Hi Julie!👋😊 Will be praying for you🙏🕊✝️ I had colon cancer 23 years ago. Surgeon said I had tumors in 22 out of 28 lymph nodes; that meant the cancer was aggressive & spreading. I asked Chris (now my ex) to call & email my friends & family to pray for me. I had a PET Scan after I got out of the hospital. Didn't get the results until Chris went for his physical. Our Doctor told him, "Chris, it's a miracle! Liz has no sign of cancer in her body!" My Oncologist still wanted me to get 6 months of chemo, and I had to have colonoscopies every year & then every 3 years. Now it's every 5 years, & I just had one last week. All clear & no sign of cancer. The prayers worked, miracles happen.✝️ Prayers for a miracle for you also🙏🕊 Hugs to you!💙🤗🩵🦝😅

Todays temperature will be almost 80 degrees here in ny but Thursday will be 87 degrees sunny and warm but Friday will be 90 degrees they are talking about rain in the pm but it could afternoon or evening but they don't say the time i was planning to go to the beach to coney Island in Brooklyn. So i have to hear the weather very good. Saturday and Sunday will be in the high 80's like Saturday 85 degrees Sunday 88 degresd. We are starting to get a heatwave here in ny. But don't know how the water will be or high the waves will heat index

Her accent is fairly strong from a canadian perspective, which jim and alot of us are. Americans seem to understand each others accents and dialects alot better than us. All that being said, I LOVE Angie's accent ❤
