A wine as good as the 2004 Imperial Gran Reserva can't be opened and drunk so quickly, it must be opened at least half an hour or an hour before drinking it (preferably in a decanter), so it can oxygenate, the improvement in flavor is enormous!

Haro looks a top place for great wine and 'tasting' an authentic wine town vibe of La Rioja. Really enjoyed the mix of wine knowledge, history and the bromance. One of your best videos yet James! Haro's on my list. And I'm going to pinch your quote, "Wine isn't pretentious, people are pretentious". I'd give Phil's elevator pitch a 7.5/10. Solid, hits the basics, without a killer punch.

That's not entirely true. Wine has been produced in that area since Roman times. The French introduced in the late of 19th century just some type of strain which was added to those that already existed there previously, nothing more.
