This is great. I've been using HA dragon as my main defense against e4, so this should help a lot. I love learning new traps since I still haven't made it to 1600 elo on Chess.com yet and people at my level fall often to opening traps.

Cool! I was waiting for a video like this one since I watched your "Jedi Mind Trick In The Accelerated Dragon" video, thanks!

At 13:45 11... Nd4! then 12. Nxd4 then ...Rh4 queen gets trapped after 15. Qg7 ... Bf6. Bishop cannot take knight on move 12 because it's pinned. Thank you for this video. I struggle a lot with these 4 Qxd4 and 5. Qd4 (after voluntarily trading on c6).

Solid as always. Thanks for the insights, James. I was wondering: what if they go queen C4 after black knight c6? I was thinking attack with tempo pawn to D5 and then outpost knight F6 to E4?
@JamesCantyIII3 жыл бұрын
Yep pretty good! Qc4 is a weird one but happens sometimes you treat it the same.

I have always loved the Qc3 trap, but I struggle when they see it because that pawn on e5 is a problem and my knight is in danger, how do you see games typically continue from there?

Can you please make a video giving your best lines or attacks plans against 2.Bc4 the Bowdler attack? I didn't think it was a very common move but under 1700 it is VERY common apparently. I know most of the lines just kinda transpose to be honest but that early bishop move & getting it on that diagonal seems to bother me when going for an accelerated dragon set up because I don't wanna block the diagonal with d6. That's what were trying to avoid. I've tried a6 & b5 playing for space but it seems I always end up in positions I don't quite like...or understand? I dunno...it's just an annoying gimmicky move that I despise though I KNOW it's inferior. Probably why people play it besides just not knowing any better.

There is a way around it, Ill drop a video soon it! It is a tricky now to be honest! hahaha

I can study every line in the Sicilian and I still suck at it. I have been playing the Slav and Caro Kahn they’re boring but I lose less often.

Yo what’s up bro! You have to play what works for you and then maybe switch later if it’s working for you!
