Guy pours his heart and soul into this. So open and brutally honest in how much he loved the army and still does but also with how much he’s hurting, suffering, struggling to cope! This guy is a fine example of dedication to the cause. Since 16 y.o. the army moulded him into, almost, perfection in his role and now they won't give him the support that he deserves on Civvy St. We all get to live one lifetime on this planet and he deserves for the remainder of his life to be as 'normal' as possible. I truly hope that things work out better for him and his wife and that his business ventures bear fruit moving forwards...

Mr. Harrison is not vile at all. At a spiritual level we all have 4 guardian angels, 2 of whom give encouraging messages, 2 of whom give discouraging messages such as "being vile": they are mood setters. How, why? Our souls are on journeys from involution to evolution: our mindset can sway depending on what we think and what we allow ourselves to believe. Collective prayer will help him..

It’s takes a massive toll on your mental health. I served in Afghanistan in 2008 & 2009 2nd Battalion Mercian Regiment, under 42 Commando, Herrick 12 & 13. And coming back off tour to civvy life just takes it out of you.

Wow... I am 50 years old and have never ever seen such a brilliant interview. Craig, you are a Fantastic person. I was actually proud of you and never met you. The fact that your have come onto an interview and spoken about your inner struggles, shows what a character you have, James is right. Your face lights up talking about looking out for your lads, also Tanya, she sounds like a real Gem. I have sat again watching this with total admiration. At times I laughed but others I had tears rolling down my face. My Gran wrote a poem for me when I had troubles, one line still sticks with me, "remember the sunshine will always follow the rain." Wow, this is up there with the best James. Captivating viewing, this man is something special. So mild mannered but you can see the steel just by the eye contact. Real life struggles & pain. The part where he said he left with 16 & came back with 6 has to hit people deep inside & make you realise just what kind of stuff these soldiers see on a daily basis and then to be cast aside like a piece of used chewing gum back into the “real world” once they have served their time. He maybe doesn’t realise it as often as he should but i hope he takes timeout every so offen to reflect on all the lives he has saved & all the soldiers making their way that he helped pave the path for them. That is the best interview you’ve done James. You have interviewed people from all walks of life but this one is absolutely gripping from start to finish. Not only that, it’s not just his story (which is incredible in its own right) but the way it’s conveyed and it comes straight into the room you’re watching from, the sadness in that man’s eyes in some sequences is truly shocking that a hero made by our armed forces has then been hung out to dry and shat on from a great height. What struck me is, that, like many veterans Craig Harrison realises that he wasn't really fighting for his country, more for corporate interests - This can only add to his issues with PTSD and depression. The truth is that we fail our veterans starting with the British Legion who're raking in cash but still do little for our homeless soldiers, Marines, Air and Sea men. I'll NEVER buy or wear another poppy again, but this won't stop me supporting you guys.

I’ve commented a few times about how good your podcasts are but this is the best yet , I’ve led a very hard life and was brought up in care homes from being a week old and never felt love from anyone until meeting my wife and then having children , I learnt from a very young age that ( in my case ) if you cried or showed pain they hurt you even more so I never did , but all the way through this interview I had a lump in my throat and tears running down my cheeks , I just wanted to reach out and put my arms around him , such a humble man I would love to meet this guy , great work James

As someone who is not in the army or hasn’t served, I find it incredibly interesting to hear stories from gents who have served our country, one thing I really find with military stories is the fact that it’s so easy to build up the imagery in my head and really create detailed visuals that are incredibly fascinating. Could listen to a roomful of ex army blokes talk all day and not get bored. What a top quality gentleman this guy is. Sounds like his wife is a keeper too; must be really hard for the women at home as well

He probably left to protect his family from any potential Al-Qaeda threats Due to our Dopy MOD Publicly exposing his identity as a serving soldier!! And was deservedly compensated by them as well !

One the best podcasts I’ve watched ever - such a emotional and full of strength interview , all these so called gangsters sorry but would not survive five minutes on tours even the prisons in Afghan or Iraq … I wish you well Craig sending healing
