Ha! Jeanette Gurney finally gets her KZbin debut lol you both are amazing people and I still hope one day, I could trek from Illinois to meet and greet at a time you both set up a workshop in New York. I have been teaching my wife to the benefits of Art and she finds it as another way for us to get closer. Thank you both for being so humane and inspirational. Meeting you two would be another life milestone for sure.

Thank you for sharing your journey! I love your style, Jeanette, and I love the freedom and playfulness of your approach to art. You see beauty and wonder wherever you are, even waiting for laundry. I won awards in school for art, but didn’t make time for it in adulthood. I’m usually stymied where to start and what to use, but after seeing the wonderful effects you achieved using a variety of tools, I was inspired to pick up a ballpoint pen and a sheet of printer paper to sketch my daughter making breakfast. I felt so much more present, and had fun. Hope to see more of your work.

Thanks Jeanette for the captivating presentation. I’m going to take your advice to keep my painting stuff with me when I go out. I used to think of taking it only when I intended to paint outside, which was rare. Often I wish I had it with me when I’ve been out. Some line and wash outdoors would be a great way to wind down after appointments like chemo especially. So I’m gonna take your advice! Thank you.🎨🌳

I work a lot and I feel very sorry that I have so little time. On Saturday it was finally a little warmer so I quit my job and went to the garden with a piece of paper and pastels and made a simple drawing of daisies. I was covered with ants and beetles, a moth sitting on my back, but I was happy. My mind relaxed and I didn't think about problems, but I lost myself in drawing. It was a very successful day. Thanks for the inspiration. You're both great. Best regards from Poland.

Thanks for the lovely show of so many fine sketches - each of them done with love and passion for the subject! Looking forward to see more another time :-) Sketching is the best way to remember things during traveling. Others may think you loose time when we stop for 30-45min on a specific spot. But if we don't 'sacrifice' this time we won't have these pleasant memories which always can be refreshed when looking at the sketch later on...

I took up line and wash last year (first I'd heard it called that, i always just thought architects did it) and found it was so much easier to use a fountain pen and I could just fly! When I use pencil, I erase as much as I draw. This made it so easy to love drawing! Thank you! I subscribed and will binge on past videos of yours. I've never had time to paint, I always had my camera on my shoulder or in my hand and had to click fast as my hubby won't stop for much of anything. I've missed a lot!
