Mexican here and the snack selection was pretty good. Though the chips section did lack variety. I know there are chorizo flavored fritos chips and a good selection of other flavored chips like rancheritos and crujitos which are classics in my household. Also Mexican ruffles are so good imo. But yeah we do love our spicy snacks 🫡

im mexican, as far as chips go, you did get most though there is more variety like DORITOS INCOGNITA that taste sorta like salt and vinegar, or SABRITAS CREMA Y ESPECIAS, which is like walkers sour cream and chive. On the candy/sweets side, you missed a ton of ones. DUVALIN are a super common sweet thats like icing really good. BOCADIN is big too, a chocolate wafer bar. In mexico, natilla (milk candy/ similar to custard), cajeta (dulce de leche), and nuts. some of these would be SUPER NATILLA, RICO BESOS, CACHITOS. theres a ferrero rocher style chocolate bar thats really good called MILCH. the all caps are the names of them if you want to see more

You need to come to Los Angeles and try Mexican hot chocolate with pan dulce. ❤ Mexican hot chocolate has notes of cinnamon and is hand whipped to have a frothy top like a latte. It’s absolutely delicious we dip churros, biscuits, and bread in it. I think you would enjoy it immensely.

hello born and raised mexican here (living in mexico rn too (get me out of here)) and you tried some good snacks but by no means are those the best and since you mainly tried chips and spicy stuff ill leave you some recommendations for other stuff :) - pingüinos - gansitos - galletas arcoiris - chupa chups (not rly mexican but common here) - tix tix - rancheritos - paleta payaso - kranky - chocolate vaquita - glorias there's also this one specific brand of cookie called triki trakes that's rumored to be made wjth sawdust but they're tasty

So for Carlos V you're not supposed to bite it and eat it. You're supposed to break off a piece of it and suck on it and let it melt in your mouth. For the "cache" or cachetada you're supposed to fold it multiple times to make it into the shape of square then take off the plastic and eat it as a square or whatever shape you end up making. Also the De La Rosa/Mazapan is actually supposed to be that crumbly, if you can open the mazapan without cracking or breaking it you are a true legend. Mexican candy is all about patience and the reward but you also had a really shit variety of snacks. I recommend Bubu Lubu, Paleta Payaso, Duvalin, Coronado Paleton De Cajeta Quemada, Rockaleta, Limon 7 (This one I have to explain. Essentially its a sour lime & salt candy that your pour on your hand and lick it or into your mouth) Duritos/Duros is a pinwheel chip that you flash fry and eat it with Valentina sauce. Manzela Japanese style peanuts are also pretty good and you can get them with different coatings the "Japanese" style comes from the fact that a Japanese man that moved to Mexico made them there. Chips are also not very good in my opinion, I would recommend the Cheetos Xtra fuego (yellow and bag) Cheetos bolitas, Papas Caseras, Sabritas Adobadas, and Crujitos queso y chile There is one more "snack" that you can buy and its called tajin its very good and you're supposed to put it on fruit like watermelon, pineapple, oranges, and similar fruits

I think if you grow up with the tamarind or chamoy flavors youll love em, it is a quite acquired taste, but i love em. Hell the mango lollipops, i only like the outside, and then it gets sickly sweet on the inside without the coating. End up just tossing it lol

The outside is usualyl tajin or chamoy, it is so yummy and the sweet/salty/spicy flavour goes well with each other. But if you don't grow up with those types of candy i understand how it can be too much of a flavour profile
