Vegan dogs will struggle to digest high fibre plant based food and it’s easy for them to be deficient of certain vitamins. So in theory yes, a dog could be vegan (where cats absolutely shouldn’t be), but unless you know a lot about nutrition and the biology of the dogs digestive tract, you’re likely to end up with a dog with some deficiencies.

I have really bad anxiety to the point where I was having panic attacks everytime I went to school and when I went home, I would just hide in my room and I was very lethargic. Depression is a very difficult thing to deal with, I was failing all of my classes, I wouldn't do work, it was bad. I'm so much better now, I have therapy and I am on a medication that definitely helps me. I personally think we are a strong generation to deal with this world's bullshit. I am actually excited about where these people in our generation will be in a few years. We are well on our way to changing the US, if not the whole world. But I that's just what I think, you can have whatever opinion you want, just please be aware of mental illness and how you treat it. (Ignore my illogical rambling, there's a message somewhere in there lol. Also, yeah, the whole point is for every generation to have it better than the last.)

I did read up after making my initial comment and I did see while technically you could feed a dog a plant based diet it would need to be heavily researched and put together by a canine nutritionist. They are not herbivores they are omnivores. They also say that a diet without any animal fats and proteins will be dangerous if not monitored. No. Just because one dog lived a long healthy life on a vegan diet, doesn’t mean every dog should be on a vegan diet. Even the blogs you posted said dogs may be healthier on a vegan diet and some are not. A dog’s food should be thoroughly researched and discussed with a trusted vet. Animal cruelty is an issue and so is the environment. But veganism is not the solution. The entire population is not going to switch over to a vegan diet due to their own dietary needs and health issues. Also culture and religion plays into diets as well. It’s all about intake. Don’t eat more meat than is needed to sustain your body.

The thing I can’t stand the most is that she’s forcing her dog into a plant-based diet. Which is *technically* possible, but it is extremely difficult to create vegan dog food, since their bodies have a harder time processing plant matter, and won’t be getting necessary amounts of fat and protein. So, it’s actually pretty dangerous to feed your dog a strictly vegan diet unless an animal nutritionist is keeping a careful eye on the effects it’s having and adjusting accordingly. Dogs can be allergic to meat and have to be vegan, and that is the only situation I think such a thing should be attempted. So, for a woman that preaches about animal treatment and cruelty, she may be giving her own dog malnutrition and severe health issues. Meat is in their nature, don’t strip them of that for the sake of your beliefs. If it means that much to you, I’m sure there are dogs out there that are allergic to meat that need a home. May be hard to find, but they gotta be out there somewhere.

No, actually the 4th oldest living dog in the world was a vegan dog, so it's completely possible. Think about it, would that greyhound be able to take down an elk or a cow, or even a turkey? Probably not. The diet that humans have BEEN feeding cats and dogs is actually completely unnatural. Cats should never drink cows milk (neither should humans), they would absolutely NEVER catch a tuna out in the middle of the ocean where they live or eat any kind of fish for that matter. All the vegan cat and dog foods have actually been tested and have had the right nutrients added to them (just as the non vegan ones do) and are completely safe.

Ngl imma vegetarian and I tend to talk to my friends like they should switch over, telling them things like “meat ain’t good” “gotta get off that meat” etc but it’s mostly just in a joking way and they be telling me to start back eating meat all the time, especially when they eating it 😂 asking me if I want some and shit 😂 but I could never imagine forcing and pressuring anyone to not eat something they want to eat
