I never mentioned this, and with 17l comments, I don't know if anyone had, but there **was in fact** a stock Gameboy model, with monochrome graphics, **and a backlit screen**. It was only available in Japan, came in Silver, Gold, or special Limited Edition themes, and it's the most awesome GB model, ever, ever. The model name: Game Boy Light.
