+Obi-Wan Kannabis 64 is the best Super Smash game by far. It mostly comes down to the stages being pretty simplistic so it allows for more skillful gameplay. All the other Smash games seem way too crowded and hectic.

LukeMM95 Agreed. It's unfortunate that Sakurai has stated that he wants Smash Bros to be a party game rather than a competitive game. By taking out tech or making it automatic and lowering hitstun to make the game more forgiving, they are alienating a large part of their audience who originally liked 64 and Melee. That is why Brawl is practically dead and why Smash 4 won't last once it stops being the "new" thing.

Good, I'm not the only one who thinks smash 4's the best. It's not too fast/too slow, its got omega mode, and the greatest cast of characters of any video game ever. I still can't believe Mario, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Sonic, Cloud, Bayonetta, and Ryu from Street Fighter are all in the same game.

+RedHairdo As far as mini game modes go, I prefer what the past games had to offer. But, in terms of gameplay, multiplayer, cast of fighters, etc, Smash 4 is as good as it gets, in my opinion. Plus, you got a 3DS version. That's always nice. I love every Smash game, but 4 takes my top spot.

Best N64 game for me was Perfect Dark after you unlock all the multiplayer bonuses so you can have 4 players and 8 customizable AI all in 1 match at the same time with only 1 console and 1 TV. That is 12 in 1 match. No other game since period has made this set up and if you have 3 or 4 players that is the funnest game to play. It is so customizable in multiplayer you can't get bored its endless fun. It doesn't reach that level of awesomeness until you unlock all the multiplayer bonuses in the 1 player missions though.

I think each smash has its merits. Brawl has Subspace, which was awesome. Smash 4 is good for casual play. Melee is great if you want to get more competitive and the original was simple and lovely.
