They do the same "reward" system in Norway. I forgot to lock in my wepon one time and got "rewarded" 2500 pushups after end of day 20.00. My team can help me do the 2500/6 and we had to knock on the officer dorm and do them in front of them. They day after at 6.00 i got a wooden gun and had to yell BANG BANG on the shooting range and "fake swap mags" for an entire day.

I had to run around with a red helmet for a week because my own helmet apparently unhooked from my belt and I lost it in the truck. And I also got "rewarded" with 500 push ups to do in front of everyone before we started the day and after we finished, everyday until I reached 500 and you know how they count... it's like 1... 1 and a half... 1 and a haaalf... back to 1 again.... Interestingly enough, we're starting to discover that lack of sleep impairs the brain's functions in an equivalent manner to being over the legal limit of alcohol intake after only 24 hours awake. The effects are compounded the longer you remain awake, and toxic residues build up in the CSF around your brain without being flushed out. This is why sleep deprevation is so devastating.

I would tend to disagree. We still do that here in the USA because you can't hear well in combat, so yelling teaches you that you need to be loud to be heard. It also teaches you to be confident with your voice and not talk so quiet that people have to keep asking you to repeat yourself.
@dauber1257
@dauber1257 4 жыл бұрын
Bernito has a good point but you as well because sorta special forces like the SAS they just leave you to your own resources and aren't like Drill Sergeants so it's actually worse physically and mentally because they usually push you but in the SAS they don't.

@@iheartwarheads I think we talk about two different things. What you mean is the commando voice, we teach that here in Germany since hundreds of years. You learn how to pronounced parts of the commandos and you learn how to speak loud and clear. I mean that yelling during boot camp. You should be motivated when you join.
@JohnDoe-lf7gu
@JohnDoe-lf7gu 4 жыл бұрын
@@dauber1257 I disagree, it is just my subjective opinion but I also did some special training during my career and I think on the long term it is much harder if you suffer and everything is quite. I found it much easier to motivate myself if a instructor yelled at me and I had something to "hate" instead of having someone around me who whispered "give up" in my ear.
@MannenFromNorth
@MannenFromNorth 4 жыл бұрын
it's more cultural, the British still do the yelling but Scandinavians are more reserved and relaxed, instead of screaming to spark tension and stress it's the silence and mind games of not wanting to be a disappointment or a bother that's making us stressed the fuck out.

Blurred faces are implemented for three reasons: 1: They haven't given permission to the TV-production to show their faces (identity privacy). Some may fear the humiliation of not passing the training and thus faces are blurred. 2: Blurred faces belong to those who made it and are/were on high-level missions. Identity of high-level operatives are classified because they can have information that other factions are interested in. Covering their identities helps to protect them, their loved ones and your country. 3: Miss information. The viewers are miss-lead that these are the "important" people. It could be that some of the faces we see are actually the most high-ranked operatives. Since this is a public TV-show - anyone can be watching, even the enemy. By blurring some of the faces makes the job a tad harder for the enemy to do recon based on identity. Mixed information is the best way to camouflage your true skin. What do you think?

1:10 There is a possibillity that they for some reason would not like to be on camera even if they made it or not. In Denmark the frogman job is a secret and only those who are close to you can know what u do for a living. That is why u see ultra zoom interviews on some of the speakers who talks about the education. Your life is in a risk if you have it in for example on your facebook info. You can become a target and that is why members of the frogman's team are blurred.

Dry suit? Great idea and a great piece of gear. Just...my had a hole in it. And i had to float in a baltic sea for some hours. In winter.

Wish I had seen this earlier.. Would have offered to write the subtitles for you so you understood it all.. I live really close to where they do their pool training, kinda cool to see more about what goes on in there, hehe..

Those who a blurred out are still in active duty. Like the Danish hunter force (Jægerkorpset), the frogmen who still have an operative status are not shown publicly. It's also highly encouraged they don't speak about their participation in these forces (not even to close family members). The motto for the hunter force is: ""Rather to be than to be seen". 2:32 " As long as you're trainee you'll wear that red helmet. There is an obligation to it. As long as you wear that helmet you will run instead of walk." 100 push-ups, 100, sit-ups, 100 burpees, and 100 fin beats". 4:14 "STOP..! What is it you don't understand by the words "hold your head up"? You're de only once who don't look up..it can't come as a surprise to you, it's YOU we mean...can it?"

most Scandinavian SF have their identities hidden, i think the ones that are blurred are the ones who passed and entered service.
