Faith is not an act of the will, or the mind, but an act of the heart and an act of surrender to God's will. (paraphrase of what Bill says at 7:00). Eph 3:20 says God is able to do above what we can think or imagine. Looking back, I think I have rebelled against some of the promptings of the Holy Spirit, because I could not conceive that He was prompting me to reach beyond what I could think or imagine.

Thank you for your comment. I agree there is a gift of faith (I Cor 12:9), and while a choice of faith is often emphasized when preaching to potential converts, Jesus also says no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him (Jn 6:44) @@7748bassfisherman
