Jamestown Rediscovery’s Curator Leah Stricker and Senior Staff Archaeologist Sean Romo examine artifacts from an ongoing dig site next to the 17th Century Church Tower at Historic Jamestowne.
Key artifacts such as: 1) wine bottle fragments, 2) window lead, and 3 a glass prunt as well as 4) delftware, North Devon sgraffito slipware, and 6) Morgan Jones ceramic fragments provide clues to the date of layers within the dig site which are critical to understand when a significant fire occurred at Historic Jamestown.
