You were probly confusing blackberry with black current! There aren’t really black currents in the US because they carried a fungus that was killing lots of trees here! They were fazed out, and now our purple candy flavor is grape and we’re missing out on black current jam.

I loved the philosophy Hope in a Jar moisturizer, especially for the scent. They changed the formula because everyone was on a fragrance free kick and I wish they'd done these scented and unscented options. I would've bought the scented version constantly. It felt like such a lovely relaxing experience at night, I looked forward to my skincare at night. Fragrance free is great for sensitive folks but I want to enjoy nice things?? At least give me the option, they can use cerave or whatever if it's that important 😭

Sameeee. Honestly some fragrance free products irritate me more than products with fragrance in them because of my sensitivity to ceramides (I’m prone to the ceramide burn). Glow recipe is the only brand that doesn’t irritate my skin despite all the fragrance!

They just take over everything, and they're harder to trim since they're all wrapped around eachother and covered in thorns. So we just remove the dead parts, and let the bushes go crazy😂 our deers love it❤

That dermwel serum sounds incredible, especially the encapsulated salicylic acid! I'm acne prone but can't tolerate salicylic acid in a concentration high enough to actually prevent acne, so I gave up on using BHAs.

Naturium has a really great all in one style serum as well. Its the vitamin C super serum plus. It has vit c, retinol, and Salicylic acid. You can use it morning and night as long as youre wearing sunscreen. You definitely need to be used to sensitizing ingredients though.

PIE is post inflammatory erythema, aka post inflammatory hyperpigmentation but moreso for lighter skinned people.basically PIH = red, brown, purple, tan marks/“scars” whereas PIE = red, pink, purple. less to do with melanin more to do with blood vessels

I'm interested to see the literature for the retinol claims the new Glow Recipe product has. Retinol itself isn't really clarifying, especially for acne prone skin, on its own. Maybe they've paired it with a delivery system that helps to clarify the skin? The only retinoids I know of that will help clarify the skin in terms of acne are the active forms like Differin, Tretinoin and Tazorac. I'll have to try it! It's in purple packaging too 💜

It is blackcurrants which aren't really a thing. They were banned from cultivation because they had a fungus which harmed some native trees and so they never really took off as a flavour - grape took its place.

I’ve lived in Oregon and Washington state and both are rife with blackberries. Unfortunately they aren’t native though and the specific type of blackberries that were brought over are invasive and impossible to kill. You’ll see them lining the sides of freeways and overtaking parks or peoples yards, etc.
