308 yards........that's 916 feet. Most of these guys, for decades, use extra long surf rods from 11 to 16 feet long, and modded Abu reels, plus a lead slug just over 5 oz, or more than 1/4 lb. Most of these guys are around 6 feet tall, or taller, and very strong. Ya have to be, to cast these huge rods that far.
