What happened? Amazing it still flew

Its an old airframe I helped him rebuild from the trash pile. The 15cc is too much motor for it but it's a fun plane to putt around with. I had warned him about steep dives with power. Sure enough, it fluttered bad in a dive and shed the aileron on the left side pulling the servo tray out of the wing. And it fractured several ribs around the right side aileron. The right side was actually damaged worse than the left side once I got looking at it. It will fly again.
