I have a huge problem with this show!! I love it so much, because in scenes like this one, I can not take anyone's side!! For me, both Claire and Jamie have right!! Everytime they argue, they have their own point of view! And I like that!! That's why I love outlander!!! It creates and builds characters with pros and cons!! And of course perfect acting from Caitriona and Sam!!

Seems a weird lapse in logic for me that Jamie wouldn't realize their entire life together would be erased in Frank didn't exist. She was only in Scotland BECAUSE of Frank. Surely asking to delay a man's life by a year is a small price to pay when it means losing Claire and everything they've done together? I know it's harsh and unfair, but I thought they'd at least MENTION this possibility.

I don’t think she loved Frank like that at this point, here. sure, she cared for him still and felt guilty, aware that she had left him unanswered. she wanted him to live, he’s part of her past/future, thanks to him she knew a lot of historical stuff that helped her survive too. she told master Raymond she cared for her friend’s fate, but didn’t mean to find out if they would meet again etc. I just hate how she handled telling Jamie all this and what happened then with Faith. from the first days of her pregnancy she had to go through the unimaginable stress, but the duel was the culmination point of everything that had led to it.

Keeping score and demanding the impossible from Jamie is a true low point in Claire's behaviour. How selfish of her to choose Jamie and yet bargain for Frank. Say what you will but Claire has been truly selfish in France...so sad that she had to lose Faith in order to realise the consequences of her actions. Notice how Jamie didn't contradict her when she said the whole Faith incident wasn't even BJR's fault bit her own..he quickly forgave her.. meaning she is responsible....

What does Claire mean that she saved Jamie twice. Unless she means that after saving him she brought him back from suicidal thoughts. Also at end of S1 she thought Black Jack was dead so that would mean Frank was too. Though in the end we know that it doesn't matter if BJR is dead where Frank is concerned.

In conclusion through out the show everything happens as it is supposed to happen something called fate , Frank was BJR's brother's son so he would have certainly existed but the events would have turned out in some other way , Claire couldn't change the future during the entire course of the show ,so what's to happen will happen with or without Claire 🤣🤣 **The logic of the book is very poor hence all this confusions 😆

This is the moment where I truly disliked Claire.. she irritates me in this scene. She doesn't realize that future/time can never be changed. By her asking Jamie to spare Randall's life, that's already what happened in history.. that's how he ends up dying in culloden. Because from the beginning, claire spared his life even before she falls through time. Time is like a loop and very complicated.
