Jamie you tell us all about your tactics which is brilliant but you never mention your landing net pole. It seems to be thicker at the tip than most poles so please explain your landing net pole, who makes it or do you have to alter a standard pole.

matrix horizon X class 5.5m landing net pole, its dual threaded so you can have either 5.5m (with a thin end) or 4m (ish) with a thicker tip. Its what I use, very stiff and I only use it at 5m at one of our super deep ponds during the winter (its between 4-6 sections to hand deep) as the bream pop up so far out. hoe this helps.

Most of the over stocked fisheries, a hook on a rope will catch something, (foul hooked) a natural pool, pond, canal, river ETC are different

Yes, these waters are massively over stocked. However, being the best at catching the most, is still an accomplishment.
