Jamie is so passionate about this character and the story, that's what makes Halloween so great

Halloween 1978 is about victimization. How anybody can become a victim of Ill intent. Halloween 2018 is about overcoming victimization. How a victim can eventually become strong enough to put the trauma underneath of them and let themselves live a content life again. I loved this new movie. It really felt like a proper sendoff to Laurie and Michael's story.

That's interesting. Didn't know it was filmed there.

I've noticed you've been commenting that it's been filmed at your military school in a lot of comment sections to videos related to this film. You must be very proud of that. Lol What school is that and what branch are you in or planning on joining? I went to BST at Jackson in the same state so I'm curious now. Did you get to see filming first hand while you were there? Cause I'd imagine that would be dope af like I would have been hyped af watching it from the barracks if I was seeing it being filmed in my bay area Haha

I just saw the movie and it was absolutely amazing. So many “Whaaaaaaat” moments in the movie that my head was spinning. Jamie Lee Curtis you’re my favorite actress after watching the movie. As I watched it, I felt your emotions and your fear through out it. You deserve an Oscar for this performance. To John carpenter, you sir, did an amazing job with brining it back and showing how gruesome Michael Myers is. The way he moves and carries himself as a killer is absolutely spectacular. I’ll be buying this movie when it comes out and maybe go watch it a second time.

It’s not about the “younger” generation and anyone not knowing anything. Why can’t you just be happy that they made another decent movie about Michael Myers? Instead you’re just some old cranky person who probably hates life. All horror movies have their flaws but the flaws in this movie were minor. It was a good movie nevertheless and Jamie Lee Curtis did a fantastic job. Stop being negative dude or she or whatever you identify as hahaha.

Bill Gates SJW’S haven’t ruined cinema at all. SJW’s only actually affect a very small portion of movies, just a few big franchise movies that get talked about a lot. There are currently on average about 500 western movies each year (cinema, TV, straight-to-DVD’s) and it’s only a small portion of that which is truthfully affected by SJW’s. Unfortunately however, a lot of media online (predominantly KZbin & Twitter) use SJW as a selling point for clicks. The amount of content I see being painted as SJW content and it really actually isn’t, but some people will take one tiny element and blow it up to fit their own agenda.

I love that she blatantly says she barely talked to another cast member or got to know her at all. And of course there's nothing wrong with that, but that would be so frowned upon on one of those cookie cutter American shows, they'd want you to be like "We became the BEST of friends." What a wonderful, authentic interview.

It's so hard to believe Jamie Lee is the celebrity she is, because she's so human. So normal and grounded. You just feel you could sit and have a cup of coffee or a beer with her and feel 100% at ease. She's a person who cares. Not a phony celeb pretending to care for good press.
@melodyk106 жыл бұрын
Michael Myers well it’s called an opinion. (You can look up the definition). I’ve followed her from the moment she came on the scene and have seen her in interviews etc for decades. I “believe” she seems very down to earth, cool and fun. Did this really bother you that I feel this way, or are just a dick by nature? See, you don’t seem like a cool guy I’d like to have a drink or coffee with. You seem fussy and annoying, It’s that easy - forming opinions based on how someone acts.

I just got back from the movie and really enjoyed it. It took a bit to get used to the other movies not being part of the cannon anymore. I watch the full series two/three times throughout the year.. So that was a bit different to get used to. But, overall, it was a fantastic movie. The only thing I wish was that the movie started how Jamie Lee Curtis mentioned in this interview! That would have been more engaging than the podcast people. Overall, I'd give the movie a 8.5/10. I hope with the next one (because please, an estimated 80 Mil opening weekend... The sequel is already being written), that they explore the characters a bit more. Jamie's character was the only one I felt like I knew leaving the movie. Now that the set up is done, the next movie really needs to get us hooked onto the new character and make us feel something when Michael goes after them.
@mairead3546 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the sequel's definitely going to focus on her granddaughter...judging from that close-up of what she was still holding in her hand at the end of the movie (purposely being vague as I'm trying not to spoil the movie for anyone!) and Michael's new doctor's comment to the police officer about the different ways that trauma affects different people...

13:44 well said! I'm really sorry for the people who chщose to see the new Halloween as a horror movie only. This is the case with most good horror films. This year gave us "Hereditary" which was not just a great horror movie, but a great movie. When it connects with the audience, when it is authentic it scares the fuck out of you! Halloween 2018 set the bar real high for the Halloween franchise and horror movie genre in general. The fact that we don't see most of the murders, switches the focus from Michael's mindless slaughter of all previous sequels to characters, their stories and their choices, including Michael's. This is genius!

It just works - amazingly. It resonates on so many levels and this newest story is now enhanced by the state of our own world today.
