I just came across this whole movement lately. I took a romantic interest in a homeless man. I gave him an opportunity to chose life and he's been clean and we've been together for 5 yrs. He does have a record but that doesn't stop him from working any job he can find to keep our home. We both have full time jobs and we're 3 yrs away from owning our own home. So it can happen. It started with a "hello". Then I sat and listened to his story and and spoke everyday on the phone for the first 3 weeks b4 I let him move in off the street. Then the hard part. It was the first time I had every witnessed someone detox. It's not easy and very painful. And I respect him so much for doing that for me but more importantly for himself. I wish all the best for everyone still out there. These are not bad ppl. I do hate seeing so many so young out there. I wish the best for you all and I hope everyone finds that saving grace. Plz be safe and if someone offers you an opportunity, I would hope that you would give it a try. You never have to stay in a situation your not happy with and there will always be a next time. Just don't let any of those next times pass you by without trying them first. One of them could be your saving grace.

there's so many caring people out there we got to remember just because someone feel hard and they end up with an addiction doesn't mean they're not humanand there's so many nice people around the world that send things to help these people out hopefully it'll help some of these people get to get on track and get some helpin my area I see a lot of homeless people lot of homeless people when I'm driving in the morning and I in my mind I think what happened to them to get them to that point sure they didn't wake up one day and decide they just want to be homeless what's happened to good people and it's not always about drugs and other things happen as well instead of looking at a homeless person saying look at that bum how about maybe that person needs a friend maybe I should walk up to that person and see if they need a bottle of water or some food or just a high in a smile just to start out with that you never know it might make a world of difference. To that person
