They can take a ragging if they are serviced we'll. The more you abuse it the more it gets serviced and they can last. I have a astra which gets kinda thrashed daily and it's still running sweet 122000 later, oil dropped every 8-9 months with millers nanodrive 👌

Cracking video mate I’ve had my 2007 Corsa vxr for 3.5 years it’s done 140k 😂 and running 300 bhp and I still think it’s a cracking car like u said just look after them I service it every 4K etc 👍🏻

@@chrisrobinson7395 agree there. A few Vauxhall's my friends had had headgasket problems. One of them was a Corsa C 1.4 with 60k miles! Dad bought a Corsa for my sister and after a year we had to sell it.

My 2015 Fez ST is at 90k and it's never gone wrong once. Fantastic car and fun to drive. If serviced and looked after and do preventive maintenance. Then a high mileage car shouldn't be a problem

I owned the original corsa nurburgring off top gear.....for what they are it was bloody fun on back roads with the lsdiff,cornered like it was on rails

I have owned a astra vxr for 4 years now and is nearly on 119000 miles and is mapped at 290bhp so it does get spirited driving on a daily basis . No turbo problems no stem seals smoke gearbox has a slight whine from the input shaft bearing but been like that for 2 years and not getting any worse . I think I brought a good one

That’s still a little. My Corsa OPC here in South Africa has 206800 km’s = 128500 miles on the clock and it’s still going strong 💪🏽

I'd worry about piston 4 going on these cars especially them with higher mileage 😬. They are cool cars but vauxhall should of at least done a recall on that issue as it's basically a manufacturer fault

My 2014 Vauxhall Corsa D VXR is on 102,777 at the point of writing this comment. One previous mature owner from new who didn’t abuse it, full service history including a Vauxhall Service Plan up until 80k which included new gearbox oil every 20k. The engine and gearbox sound brand new, the bodywork is near immaculate and it drives like a car that’s done less than a quarter of the mileage. The only way I remember the mileage is by looking at the odometer. Like most cars its mostly about how they are treated and maintained. I love mine to bits!

Getting a high mile corsa vxr is very brave, check for play in gearboxes and compression test before buying as they have a habit of going lean in cylinder 4 and blowing up. Good value cars good fun and make a great noise

Couldn’t agree more, regular maintenance with quality products and these things kits keep going, mines done 86K miles and is a 2009 so still relatively low mileage for the age and is producing 343 bhp currently and just signs along happily, being a track built car gets a lot of high revving abuse but had been built to cope with the parts fitted and has more regular maintenance and better parts to keep this thing going, is properly looked after and is warmed up and cooled down correctly, have done 600 miles a couple times on a day with this things and it doesn’t skip a beat, proper care and maintenance and the right parts and these things are robust as anything, just a shame about the stigma and the people who badly treat there’s and then wonder why it’s blown up 10 minutes later 🤷‍♂️

@@MrMikeyj81 of course stock they are a ticking time bomb, once fully built are a different car, I’ve now taken a more track based approach and has been reliable with no issues, built engine and gearbox and serviced at good intervals with good quality parts and hadn’t skipped a beat, took her out yesterday in this heat to the track and no issues at all

More the case of many don’t make it passed 100K without being broken for parts, my engine had issues at 69k and found P4 has started showing signs of failure, got that things forged as soon as the symptoms were showing before the bill could have potential doubled 🤣

Just take care of it like a normal human, rather than ragging it around all the time, letting it warm up and yearly full service's. Had mine just over 2 years now and running perfect.

Place i.worked second hand used car showroom there was one that came in overheating problems it was expansion cap and the gear stick was sloppy fixed that as well .the wnker boss never gave me anything extra pratt of guy

Every car has mechanical problems.....yes piston four and gearbox problems entered the chat🤣😴. New RS Focus are letting Rods go.....New Yaris GR lifters are failing at high rpm, Golf R's have carbon buildup problems etc. etc. Moral of the story is cars break. You should just enjoy them whatever brand your loyal to. And if your not loyal to one in particular you'll find out life's much more fun👌✌😎.

I’d rather have a well looked after motor that’s high mileage like say 100k Than one that’s been poorly maintained at 70k Yeah .. years ago a ford turbo fiesta or escort Or a Peugeot 1.9 or any 90’s hot hatch that had done high mileage were 9 times out of ten nearly ready for the scarp pile Also to consider was the rest of the car … they would knock and bang , The funny thing is that we seem to have gotten cars to not just perform well at high mileage but the rest of the car to last , And we’re now coming to the end of the internal combustion engine, I think there is a market for ppl to dark hole some of today’s hot hatches 👌
