Just an update for anyone interested 1 year after this video was filmed, the car is still running sweet as ever no issues at all!! Also had a vbox fitted a few weeks ago I hit 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds with 3 other runs @ 6.1 seconds also 1/4 mile time of 14.5 seconds @97.6 mph

Love it. I'm in Australia and own a 2019 gt 1.0 turbo and its all about v8's and skyline's over here. No one want's to do a 3 cylinder turbo. I have brought my mod's from Europe and must say from a stock 74kw 180nm car to a 100kw 225nm is amazing. And a lot of Aussies are taking notice in the modding seen of the 1.0 turbo's I thank kia for this.

+Shona On this video there's fiesta with 1.0 engine. Current Fiesta ST has 4-cylinder 1.6 engine with 197hp (in overboost mode). New Fiesta ST will have around 200hp from 3-cylinder engine but 1.5 not 1.0.

I have a modified ford focus titanium 1.0L ecoboost and after a remap it gets me 165bhp it is a really quick car and with my cat back exhaust it sounds great too! Amazing engines in these things 👌

MiNameIsJake it's half the cylinders of a 6 cylinder engine so it sounds kinda like one :-) V12s of course have double so also share this sound characteristic ;-) 5-cylinder engines also sound a bit like V10s for the same reason!

@@maddog9303 Dunno what's with the 2nd gear. I don't know if it's just me but it seems that if I abuse the 2nd gear too much by quickshifting from high rolling speeds over 60-70km/h, the syncro starts wearing out. Even the 1st gear lasts with no problem if I abuse it to shift into it from like 40-50km/h (it enters harder but it enters). Dunno what's so different to the 2nd gear cause I've bought a second hand gearbox from a car scrap and replaced it myself and it all worked fine for almost a year of racing like driving and now I feel like the 2nd gear again seems to go "CRRRRR..." for a short moment although the clutch is full depressed. It's strange from all the gears, it's only the 2nd one that seems sensitive to shifting into it from high driving speed. I've shifted into 3rd gear from 150km/h and never seemed to wear it's syncro out.

180+ bhp from only a 1.0L turbo inline 3 cylinder?! That is actually more bhp for every litre of displacement than even a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, and that makes nearly 7 times the power of this! (1,183 bhp) How I worked this out: Veyron Super Sport: 1,183 bhp from 8.0L quad turbo W16. (1,183 ÷ 8 = 147.875 bhp / litre) This tuned EcoBoost Fiesta: 180+ bhp from 1.0L single turbo inline 3. (180 ÷ 1 = 180 bhp / litre) PROOF THAT EVEN SMALL, TINY ENGINES LIKE THIS CAN GET BIG POWER FROM SUCH LITTLE DISPLACEMENT!!
