Keep in mind that you'll be deleting your Windows.old folder, which contains files that give you the option to go back to your previous version of Windows. i dragged all of the old folders such as program files, users, and windows into the same folder then changed the permissions on that folder to delete all of them at once and it worked perfectly, THANK YOU YOURE A LIFE SAVER. ALL OF THESE FORUMS WERE SAYING IT WASNT POSSIBLE AND THAT YOU NEEDED OTHER PROGRAMS AND SCRIPTS TO DO THIS BUT YOU PROVED THEM WRONG!!!

Wow I’m surprised it’s still doing that, try using the disk clean up tool. You have to right click on your C drive and choose properties then you can find it from there

TOO LONG AND COMPLICATED EASIER WAY On start, write Disk Clean-up, click ok on the pop up window on the window click on "clean up system files" Same pop up open again, click ok now in "files to delete" just select "Previous windows installation" Click ok all will be gone!! LESS than 30 seconds

A pleasant day Jamie.I had upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 this month of April 2019 and came across with this helpful video about deleting windows old.Followed the steps and instructions by pausing the video until it was done and all was perfect,had deleted the windows old folder,gained about 25 gb..A couple of days after the deletion of windows old folder,when I clicked on C drive,had noticed that 88 new files appeared such as "fsCLtmp2713765, fsCLtmp2743171, fsCLtmp33235500,(same file names of fsCLtemp with different numeral values attached on the end),bearing the same size of 1,048,576 kb each to be exact.All these files are dated 03 September 2014,the year when I bought the laptop. I know nothing about computer knowledge,may I please ask your kind assistance dealing with this.You mentioned before the video ended to check the windows folder if some old apps are in service,to disable and uninstall it on the control panel area.Should I uninstall these apps?MICROSOFT VISUAL C+ +2005,2008,2010,2013,2015 Redistributable versions?Your help would be much appreciated.THANKS,HAVE A GOOD DAY.

you do realize all you have to do is right click on the your C drive , click on disk cleanup, and then check remove previous version of windows right ?
