This was your best podcast yet. You and Mason are amazing together. So much fun listening to these stories. Liam is the gnarliest dude in the planet. He literally grew up in a cult. It was so cool that his son won the Eddie and the two of you were on the platform with him.

I agree, this is the direction this podcast should go. No offense to either Mason or Jamie, but most of the other stuff they've done hasn't been all that interesting.
@ronnyron69393 күн бұрын
@@TheBoogienation11 Agree. It has been entertaining but each guest they have had it turns into how they know each other, growing up, same stories, etc. Like when they had JJF. Yeah we already know Jamie and John are friends and Jamie picked on them when they were little. We don't kneed a whole podcast on that. Have a big list of questions for the best surfer on the planet, not just a trip down memory lane.. Same with Nathan Florence. Dude is all over the world just throwing it down, winning awards, etc and it was the same thing, hey remember when we were young and I put sand in your wetsuit? JOB is the man but the podcast needs more structure. Should talk to an actual producer. I mean I love all the stories and all that but it shouldn't be the main theme of every cast.

My family would spend a lot of time on Oahu back in the early to mid 80's. North shore was no joke. It was scary to even sit on the beach at Pipe if you didn't know someone.

Seeing Liam stand tall in a perfect BIG Pipe barrel with his hands on his hips just so cool and collected (in a film by the late Larry Haynes RIP, one of the Fluid Combustion series) was one of the most beautiful surfing scenes I think I have ever seen. I will never forget that particular segment of some serious Pipe footage.

There's gotta be a part two for sure. Can't just cut the legend off talking lol. Those are all legends all three of them. I'm always so psyched to watch them rip. I was born in '86 when Liam surfed his first pipe masters lol. I'm a east coast kid. Southeastern NC Wilmington NC. Dream of waves like Hawaii. Those are def waves of consequences. Only hurricane swells can it get big enough to hurt you here. But it's beautiful on a huge hurricane swell with a light north wind at Holden Beach NC. Where I actually live. 20 mins south of Wilmington NC. Yeeeew need that part 2.

22:20 it’s kind of crazy how these tourist can come from all around the world. Visit pipeline for a week and just expect to get waves in not respect the line up or locals. Thinking that the locals get those waves all the time or you paid to surf there for a week so you need to get your moneys worth. Back in the 90s, you might get some one like Kala beat the crap out of you without even giving you a chance to respond. You’ve been lucky if you only got a slap to the side of the head warrior surfboard punched. There are a lot of surfboards from that error with Hawaiian prints in them
