I can totally relate to Landon’s anxiety of not wanting to play his guitar even in front of his family. I too some 50+ years ago went through the same thing. You’re absolutely right to not pressure him. I’m also thrilled to hear about y’all creating a special schedule just for him in regards to visitation. I love how y’all are really looking and acting upon what’s best for each child vs treating all 7 as if they were one.

I was pregnant with Quintuplets they wanted me to reduce i chose not to but at 10wks i moss carried three, i am so thankful i didn’t reduce bc i now have healthy 13 yr old twins! If i had reduced it could have been one of twins ❤

I laughed about sitting on the floor. I am 81 with really chronic back pain and problems. Standing very long is really hard and I always get in pain and if I don’t take a break, gets worse. The relief I get when folding laundry is sitting on the floor. I do not hurt at all when sitting in certain positions. I assumed Jamie was just comfortable sitting in the floor. Most older homes don’t have recessed lighting. We have it in our rec room but in my kitchen have some great fluorescent lighting that I leave on 24/7. I also got the under cabinet lighting that is motion detected. I am enjoying that. Sorry I changed the subject. Jamie, I watched you last week sitting on the floor folding my laundry😂I also have lots of lamps.

We stayed in Jackson Hole when we spent 6 weeks in Utah and adjoining states from the UK. We are vegetarian so really enjoyed shopping in the whole food market and making up picnics.

I did the same. I told my kids they have a daddy. Sometimes they have a tendency to try to parent your children. I’m still single at 62. I too felt we did better as a family apart. It really hurt my oldest and her dad has really hurt her. Momma sometimes gets the brunt of this. My kids turned out great🎉🎉🎉

You are not only a great mom you are beautiful. How you do you not lose it when you have 5 little ones not getting along? Without the faith you have you would not have been able to get through the trials you were faced with. In this day & age people seem to get very angry , & you lose them as friends if you don't agree with them about religion or politics, and that is so sad. I lost my husband July 2019 & I still miss him. We were married over 47 years & yes I get lonely but only for him. I am to old to start over again, nor do I want to.

Look at doing pathways online to finish your degree. You can do it while the kids are at school. Credits you already have can be used towards your degree.

Spiritual freedom is a wonderful gift to give your children. I left the religion of my childhood and found a different path. My dad taught me critical thinking and gave me this freedom. My son left the religion I brought him up in and I'm grateful to realize that giving another spiritual freedom is the best way to love someone.

I lived in Jackson Hole for 4 years here are my top recommendations: National Wildlife Art Musuem: they have a really cool kids corner with costumes for kids to dress up with and a place for them to make artwork. Plus outdoor exhibits too! Visitor Center in town: they have lots of HUGE stuffed animals such as wolves, bears, elk etc plus a little movie to watch upstairs and other interactive exhibits, a viewing telescope to spy on elk in the refuge Snow King Gondola: hike up the mountain to the top and take the Gondi down. Incredible views!! There is also an amazing park for kids at the bottom with an outdoor rock wall (three separate rocks one for kids) plus a dedication monument to mountaineering The Virginian: has dinner plate sized pancakes for breakfast- amazing food and a nice rustic interior Tram: take the tram up to the top of JHMR and see amazing views Usually snow up there 10 months out of the year. Take the scenic wildflower trail 2 miles up from the base and you will find a hidden giant swing!! Lots of shops at the base too and other paid for experiences Favorite family friendly hike is Phelps Lake and Taggart/Bradly Lake but the greatest one of all is Jenny Lake with a 5 mile round trip hike to the thundering hidden falls and inspiration point. Make it 7 miles round trip (lots of uphill) and you get to experience more views of Cascade Canyon with its towering granite walls and cathedral of rocks

As a person who came from a broken family, i can say that divorce is 100% not better for the children. Unless it is a toxic abusive relationship, then of course it is the better choice, but working through issues and being together for the children is a much better choice. I still have anxiety and issues from my parents divorcing when i was 6 and i am now 55.

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is absolutely against infant baptism. We believe that a person needs to be old enough to be accountable before God and to understand the commitment they are making at baptism. We believe that the Lord has set the age of accountability before Him at age 8. (There is a connection to babies of the Jewish community being circumcised at 8 days) Most children will choose to be baptized immediately after their 8th birthday. They are asked to affirm that it is their desire and their will. Any person can leave the church at any time and any age. If you remove your records from the church, it makes you officially a non-member and you would have to seek baptism again if you ever desired to become a member again.
