Zaid ahmed i kinda gave up on that. popularity by views doesn't mean anything. as long as he's getting enough attention to continue doing what he wants, that's successful enough. after a certain critical mass people stop liking artists for genuinely liking their work. Gil Scott Heron is a very unique jazz music artist who was/and still is amazing in many fields even wrote some superb books which go into great depth of things which have evolved around his life. Back then he was judged harshly on his drug abuse but overall he has came out on top and still is as an amazing part of the music industry and spittingbloodhc is so right. The light within Gil Scott Heron didn't die it was transferred to those who were and still are inspired by him such as Jamie xx

I can see why the purist would not care for the remix. Having said that being very familiar with the previous version of this song I can appreciate this for Gil Scott Herons ability to stretch the boundaries of his creative genus and further explore his own music.
