Zaid ahmed i kinda gave up on that. popularity by views doesn't mean anything. as long as he's getting enough attention to continue doing what he wants, that's successful enough. after a certain critical mass people stop liking artists for genuinely liking their work. It just becomes thoughtless or trendy.

A majority of Jamie's music is everything I've ever wanted in such an artist. He is different, he is experimentative, he is curious, he is different, and his sound engineering is on point. Kudos to this amazing artist for being indescribably what I've needed for such a long time.
@MrUrui612 жыл бұрын
Gil Scott Heron is a very unique jazz music artist who was/and still is amazing in many fields even wrote some superb books which go into great depth of things which have evolved around his life. Back then he was judged harshly on his drug abuse but overall he has came out on top and still is as an amazing part of the music industry and spittingbloodhc is so right. The light within Gil Scott Heron didn't die it was transferred to those who were and still are inspired by him such as Jamie xx
@MrVero9713 жыл бұрын
I can see why the purist would not care for the remix. Having said that being very familiar with the previous version of this song I can appreciate this for Gil Scott Herons ability to stretch the boundaries of his creative genus and further explore his own music. I say, like so many others that have been taken from us too soon it is a shame we will never know of his genius he had yet to realize. Thank you for all you have given us and may you rest in eternal peace.

True. I have listened to some of Jamie xx's tracks. Good stuff. Good beat arrangements and composition. Gil Scott-Heron's creative output, after his lengthy absence due to his imprisonment and cleansing of his demons, was brilliant, in my opinion, His reshaping of some of his previous pieces was masterful. You're correct. Not everyone is going to like both versions, Each version speaks to different spirits,
