Really loved their sound with their first two albums “Neapolitan” and “Soaked” but their new stuff just doesn’t have the catchy, fun, and memorable melodies and hooks. When they play as a band with guitar bass and drums, they sound great.👌

i agree the sound has changed a little but i still hear the same soul. bands evolve over time. fans should too. those same minds that helped craft the early stuff are on to new stuff they think is equally valid to give out to us. i think this whole thing is an excellent piece.

@@devinvaldesuso6969 Ya I get what you’re saying. Bands do change and evolve. I honestly really like their recent single “Grudge”. It has a great fusion between their guitar-driven and synth sound and the melody is memorable.👌 The biggest problem I had with some of their synthy and Tame Impala-sounding songs was that the melodies were lacking and were relatively uninteresting compared to their excellent, melodic songs from Soaked and Neapolitan. They had some real Beatles vibes on Soaked which I love. I hope they continue to expand their horizons but also continue to build on their sound that I heard in “Grudge” as well “Head in the Clouds”.
