Every runner has a story. I hope you keep documenting such stories. Hands down, the best part was at 12:52. Clever editing and song choice for that clip.

amazing work! if i could be suggestive of anything i felt the music was a bit out of place at certain points, but the stories/motive of this was really nice. too much of the time stories follow the elite/sponsored athletes looking to podium... a documentary like this can appeal to anyone at all levels. love it

You did a great job for a 30 min doc (which is a huge constraint). Wish I could've "connected" more with the runners.....but I dont think that has anything to do with how you put this together, more a personality thing. I didnt feel the passion, excitement, and disappointment as much as I was wanting. Keep up the good work!

Nathan N yeah I agree. That was my goal, and why I kept holding it off, but I had so many set backs. Lost a lot of footage due to corrupted SD cards, a failed HDD, and time constraints of being able to schedule times to get details. Eventually my friend Scott (who helped me) said to just put it out and do better on the next project. Thanks for your critique. I rather hear constructive criticism than...”this sucks” lol

Mostly on training runs I've run the equivalent of 10,000 marathons (26.21875 miles) or over 262,200 miles / 422,000 kilometers (including 4 separate years of 10,000 miles each. I also "fun ran" the Boston Marathon in 1980 (the year of Rosie Ruiz, the super-cheat). I didn't qualify that year but was in the area; other years I qualified but was too far away (and not enough $). I never really care who wins a marathon; but instead just hope for a very fast and large lead pack out past 20 miles. A SUGGESTION: Why not list in the "Notes" section the date and time of day of the race?

#MaryBethOrNah Congratulations on this marathon! That's a good personal documentary, I think both of them did a good job of training and I can't know how well they ran, but I could notice a few mistakes in the pre-race. I think eating spicy mac&cheese with bacon before a race, wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath and using new shoelaces for the first time in a race are not the best ideas. I don't want to sound like a hater, but I think we all always have a lot to improve (me too).

Awesome documentary! I would just recommend to these hard working athletes and other dedicated runners that nutrition is just as important as training is and bacon Mac n’ cheese is not going to do your body any favors! Plant-based is the way to go! Keep it up!
