Composed by David Wise. Recreated by me. This was made possible by locating the original instrument samples from workstation keyboards and drum machines before they were put into the game and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. Amazing the subtle new details, difference in the bass, in the piano, in the previously muffled echo produced. I understand very little but I think this work is amazing, the cleaner sound, big differences from 2019, 2020 and now 23

there's a weird sense of longing, loneliness, and emptiness that permeates this track -- probably because it brings back memories of simpler times that we will never get to experience again. but at the same time, the fact that we will never get our childhoods back is the beauty of it all because we can look back in our memories and relish what once was

When did I first hear this track? No idea. It feels as though it's always just been part of my favourite songs of all time, always been there, yet every time I listen I get transported away like few other songs manage to do. Every listen is an experience, no many how much I've heard it before. There's just something so ethereal and beautiful, gripping, mystifying and gorgeous about it. Absolutely adore this masterpiece and always will
