And addressing the only point of any substance you gave, of course it's not as easy as just a review of the current model. But there is basis that their proposed policy would give more Singaporeans the job they desire more than the current policies. Everyone wants high salary, 5 day week jobs, standard 9am-6pm jobs, no need to work on weekends and OT, if can no need to go overseas to work, medical fully covered including dental care, 14-21 days annual leave that can bring forward, able to own at least a 4rm HDB/EC, can get good school placement for their kids nearby their house and if can own a car would be a plus. That’s what every Singaporeans wants but how can that be possible and you know it’s not. As different jobs have different requirements. Lowering costs will not help in our economy as do not forget, the whole world evolves as well. Costings is not just based locally but it’s based on the whole region we stay in. We do not have any natural resources to start with and we depend 90% on imports. Importing goods from other countries are based on the world economy as well. It’s not just some simple calculation where you bring the cost down means you will have a better quality life. It’s not that simple. Pay less and earn more. Who don’t want that.

GE2020 offers Singaporean a huge opportunity to have a Parliament in future that will be more vibrant. Reason is that now there are many good candidates to bring into Parliament as they are humble, sincere and passionate. Singapore can afford to have more elected Oppositions so that issues will be more thoroughly deliberated especially when it will affect the livelihood and future of people. The single advantage of having elected Oppositions MP is that they must contribute and perform well. They know that they will be kicked out otherwise. And with them, other MP and Ministers will have to work harder. They know that their job can be taken away if they failed to deliver.

CY T ironically it seems that the way PAP treated Raeesah ended up being the partial reason why WP won. Remember the time LKY tried to smear CST about his poor o level results before the 1984 GE? Although it's not a direct confirmation of a 10m target, it has been discussed/toyed with. During 7% GST, clients will force you to absorb by discounting on contract price, lower your profit. Contract sums and price continue to face tsunami as local and foreign companies compete for projects and contracts. As labour and material cost continue to constant raise, we have no ways to raise wages as SMEs need reserves to stay afloat. 9% GST , better close shop...

Covid-19 has invariably changed the world over in a short span of 5 months. The landscape is different and the sense of urgency to evolve is ever more challenging. The incumbent govt has proven again to be not nimble and flexible enough to handle the impending changes. It is time for Sengkang and East Coast resident to truly reflect and vote for a change - a breath of fresh air in the Parliament; so that with hopefully better ideas, better propositions - Singapore is better equipped to face the challenges ahead. Time to bring in the big guns guys - time for a shake up that will be good for the nation as we brace the future with a bit more hope and not fear like what the PAP is trying to instill in us on the election run up. Take a leap of faith in the younger leaders and let them show you in Parliament as a proper parliamentarian how things should be done for the better of Singapore. And like all gracious citizen - the NCMP seats should also be extended to the losing PAP members so that there is fair representation too.

The PAP already has an unfair advantage over the opposition because the People's Association is controlled by the PAP and this organisation controls the facilities in the town councils. As voters we should not worry about this.
